We would see them interact with each other and find different perspectives of the same character before reading from their own perspective. Although it read like an anthology and I don't like anthologies, I didn't have an issue with this because all the stories were interconnected. The writing has to be fast-paced to fit it all in. We see their lives from the beginning to (in some cases) the end. The book takes us through the lives of multiple women.
